Abstract
Purpose: This study was a scoping review designed to identify research trends in food-related environmental studies related to the urban elderly in Korea.

Method: This study performed a scoping review following the Joanna Briggs Institute¡¯s scoping review guidance. Literatures published in Korean and English since 2000 were searched using electronic databases, and the last research date was December 2021.

Results: Twenty six publications were included. Approximately 50% of the researches were published since 2019, and the most common methodology was survey. Most researches were conducted in social environmental factors and nutrition status(58%), and 31% of the research was about physical food environment.

Conclusion: Eating behavior is highly complex and results from the interplay of multiple influences across different contexts. However there has been no research that attempted an ecological approach in the reviewed literature. More studies such as ecological approach are warranted for conceptualizing elderly eating behavior systematically.
